Masala Chai Black Tea

Masala Chai Black Tea

Masala chai, which translates to "spiced tea" in English, is a wildly popular blend of smooth black tea and invigorating spices that originated in India. This spicy and energizing black tea has been popular across India and much of East Africa for centuries, and it has recently become one of the most popular beverages around the world. Try adding your favorite milk and sweetener to make a rich and creamy chai latte! Contains caffeine.

This combination of Indian black tea and spices has been shown to have powerful anti-inflammatory properties.*

Benefits to Your Health*

Black Tea: Black tea is made from the oxidized leaf of the Camellia sinensis plant. One of its most desirable benefit is the high caffeine content, which is usually 50-100 mg per cup (about half as much caffeine as coffee). Black tea is also full of antioxidants that help the body fight off harmful free radicals, and it has been shown to reduce the risks of various diseases.

Cinnamon: Besides being one of the most delicious and sought-after spices in the world, cinnamon is also loaded with antioxidants. It also has anti-inflammatory properties that help your body heal and fight infections.

Steeping Instructions

We recommend steeping 2 tsp of Masala Chai for 3-5 minutes with 8 oz of 200℉ water.

When black tea is steeped for too long or with water that is too hot, the tea can become bitter and not nearly as tasty. Brewing tea is simple, but it is important to follow our specific instructions for each tea so your tea tastes as good as possible.
