Rare Japanese Black Tea

Even though Japan has been perfecting the art of growing tea for hundreds of years, Japanese black teas are still difficult to find, especially organic black teas. We are very excited that we were able to get our hands on a small amount of this exclusive tea from a family-owned tea farm in Shizuoka, Japan. Wakoucha is a stunning black tea that produces a rich, amber infusion and lightly floral taste with notes of sweet fruit and spices. Contains caffeine.

Steeping Instructions

We recommend steeping 2 tsp of Wakoucha for 3 minutes with 8 oz of 195℉ water.

This tea can (and should) be steeped multiple times. Simply add 1 additional minute of steeping time for each re-steep, so you should let the second cup steep for 4 minutes. You should be able to get at least 1 good re-steep out of our Wakoucha.
